My motivation for taking an MBA was to advance my career.

I chose Edinburgh business school because of its strong reputation internationally. I read the articles about which MBA schools had the highest ranking. And of the MBA schools which had E learning on their programme, EBS had the best alternative for me.
- What benefits have you experienced from studying for the MBA?
First of all, it was a great challenge, but mainly it opened the door to the biggest and most respected consultancy companies in the world, PA Consulting Group. In that job, I have travelled the world and conducted strategy work for some of the largest companies in the world.
- What have been the greatest challenges when studying for the MBA?
The greatest challenge has been the exams and studying for a great mark. It was very tough and I have spent a lot of hours with my exam preparations.
- How has the Edinburgh Business School MBA helped your career?
EBS is highly recognised Internationally, and has helped me greatly in my internationally assignments.
- What advice can you give MBA students on how to manage the balance between their studies and business/personal life?
It is challenging to study EBS MBA. Try to negotiate a deal with your employer so you can spend some time studying at work or have some free time to study away from the office.
- What tips would you give for being a successful MBA student?
Don’t give up, and give everything you have in the exam period. Use the last month for preparation, apply a rigorous structure to you reading method, and give everything you have, then you will succeed. As a professor told me, “That’s how hard men work.”
